This is a few highlights from Thursday night's Disney Parks Blog "ElecTRONica Meetup" October 28th, the park closed at 8pm and 1,500-3,000 lucky attendees (giveaway for 1500 people & their optional 'plus one' was on the @Disneyland twitter account) got to have elecTronica all to themselves. Sean & I have been before a couple weeks ago and had a great time (that's where we were before we went to World of Color) So having more time at the fun Tron-themed venue was a great opportunity..
I got several minutes throughout the night on my iPhone.. and put together this 9.5 minute video in iMovie for iPhone! I'm learning! It includes walking through the "portal' through to the dance floor.. lots of dance stuff, "Laserman" and all the cool digital effects.. Nothing beats being there though!
It's usually on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights.. around 6pm.. They take over the Muppet theater several times during the night-time event to show exclusive sneak previews of Tron Legacy 3-D (and you KNOW I don't have video of that so don't ask.. just go..)
*disclaimer I don't work for Disney; I'm don't make any money.. I do admit having a drink bias for @cokezero.. so yeah.. Coke Zero is at ElecTRONica so that makes me happy too.. =) and has NOTHING to do with how much fun the event is.

World of Color
We've seen World of Color about 3 times since it opened. This video is from 2 weeks ago, at the 1015pm show (after we met up with a couple of our Bay Area friends)..
The whole show is about 20+ minutes.. this is a few clips from the first part of it. It's definitely worth seeing in person! Better than the fountains at Bellagio in Las Vegas.. and yes, I've seen the Bellagio.

World of Color Road Show
The World of Color road show wrapped up its 4 city tour in downtown LA... Although it's nothing like the real World of Color (which is full of most awsomeness.. like the Bellagio fountains on steroids.. 200ft water cannons, fire balls and flamethrowers, along with several hundred feet of projected water screen amazingness)
Sean & I wandered over there after having dinner at Starry Kitchen last Friday July 30th.
We just got new his & her's iPhone 4s from the Glendale apple store Saturday before this, and so this was the first real test for them. Taking videos was alright but the flash seemed to over-expose the images.. and without the flash you may notice it's a bit blurry. The phone takes forever (in the sense of taking an image) to decide to shoot something..
Day time or dusk images shoot way better.. but despite the frustrations, we we gave it a go. Luckily the 10minute loop repeated itself
So here you go..
and a little bit of video:
the projected images where first abstract..
later you could see snippets of the Blue Fairy, Fantasia, Aladdin, and Sorcerer's Apprentice portion of Fantasia..
This is NOTHING like the real World of Color.. but if you haven't seen it, hopefully it makes you curious to go to the park and check it out.. FWIW I heard a few people heading off discussing how they haven't been to Disneyland in a while and "We really need to make another trip to Disneyland soon!" I guess Disney marketing accomplished their task with this one..

Backlog of Posts!
While I'm busy editing photos and editing & uploading videos from various Disney events and our recent trip to New Orleans.. Thought I'd share a little choppy video I made while in New Orleans..
Le Cirque Hotel at Lee Circle..
While it's not LA Live (and thank goodness for that) it was a neat effect. =)

Disneyland New Year's Day 2010
New Year's Day we headed to Disneyland where we took in quite a bit of attractions, holiday decor and some yummy food. We took some 700+ images of which I was only able to cull it down to 500+ which you can see HERE
The holiday decorations were still up..
We saw the Princess & the Frog "Louis" walkaround..
and caught the "Tiana's Showboat Jubilee" show twice.. once in the morning, and again in the afternoon.. (along with the Second Line to the Mark Twain) This was great!! Best show ever!! I was especially glad, as it was one of the last days as they drained the Rivers of America a couple days later..
Lunch was Christmas Tamales at Rancho Del Zocolo..
and some very bland flan..
We caught the 4pm Christmas parade..
as well the Holiday fireworks..
as well "Fantasmic!" in New Orleans Square's Rivers of America..
then the camera batteries died.. and so although our fun continued, photographing it did not. =)
